EV CHARGER BRANDS:
ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGER TYPES:
LEVEL 1 EV CHARGERS
A Level 1 charger uses a standard 120-volt AC outlet, typically found in homes. It provides a charging rate of around 2 to 5 miles of range per hour (depending on the vehicle).
The main advantage of Level 1 chargers is their accessibility and ease of use. They can be plugged into any standard household outlet, making them convenient for residential use. However, due to their slower charging rate, they are more suited for overnight charging or for vehicles with smaller batteries and lower daily mileage needs.
LEVEL 2 EV CHARGERS
A Level 2 charger requires a 240-volt AC outlet, similar to those used by large appliances like electric dryers. They provide a charging rate of around 10 to 60 miles of range per hour.
Level 2 chargers offer significantly faster charging speeds compared to Level 1 chargers. With their higher power output, they are suitable for both residential and commercial use. Level 2 chargers can fully charge most electric vehicles overnight, making them ideal for daily commuting or longer trips. They also often come with additional features such as connectivity options, smart charging capabilities, and compatibility with mobile apps for monitoring and control.

LEVEL 3 EV CHARGERS (DC FAST CHARGER)
Level 3 chargers, also known as DC Fast Chargers, use direct current (DC) and provide a high charging rate, typically ranging from 80 to 150 miles of range per 20 minutes of charging time. Level 3 chargers require specialized infrastructure and are usually found in public charging stations or designated fast charging networks.
DC Fast Chargers are designed for quick charging on the go, providing rapid top-ups for EVs during longer journeys or when time is limited. They are commonly found along highways, at rest stops, and in urban areas. DC Fast Chargers can charge an electric vehicle to around 80% capacity within 30 minutes, allowing for more flexibility and reducing charging time significantly.
